Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the initial exam and what does it involve?

The initial visit is minutes and entails a FDM soft tissue exam, neurological and orthopedic testing, review of past imaging/medical history, accurate diagnosis, report of findings, and treatment plan. Dr. Heitholt will also discuss any other complicating factors that may be present or could potentially become a problem. Please bring any imaging and relevant radiology reports. Treatment will begin with any time left during the visit.

What should I wear to my visit?

Come in workout type clothes. For upper body issues, please wear a tank top or loose fitting shirt. For lower body issues please wear shorts.

How long will the treatment plan be, and when will I have pain relief?

Most patients begin to feel sustainable improvements in pain within 1-3 visits. In order to gain resolution or maximum therapeutic benefit patients typically are seen 6-12 visits.

How will I know if this treatment will work?

If you have any muscle, joint, or nerve problem even if you have seen other providers, then you are likely a good candidate.
